Are you feeling overwhelmed with life, run down, stressed, looking for calm, but canโ€™t find it? You know you can be happier, but not sure where to start? The Happy Way is a community of women who are taking steps to happiness, youโ€™ve come to the right place! The Happiness Project is designed to allow you to step into happiness without the overwhelm, a simple, practical approach to happy.

Here is a sneak peak into what we will be covering…

Happiness Project Week 1 is about you! Before we kick into some of the Happy Project happiness practices we recognise that we all have worries, and fears, especially given what is happening in the world currently. You may be in lock-down as we speak, you may be surrounded by civil unrest. Or you may be feeling blessed that you are in a safe place, but still have niggling thoughts and concerns. Whatever you are feeling is real and OK.

This first week we will give ourselves permission to voice and dump our worries. And deal with the ones we may need to deal with.

We will also define happiness, and look at what happiness definitions over time have in common, and share the first two Secrets to Happiness ๐Ÿ™‚

We will do some ‘Noticing’, and measure your happiness right now. And Week 1 wouldn’t be complete without some exercises to do throughout the week!

You know you can be happier, life just got in the way right? Are you busy all the time and does every day feel the same, or are you stressed, don’t have time for the things that make you happy, and don’t have time for yourself? You are not alone! That was me too, and us women go through times when life gets very busy. It may be your job that goes on well beyond dinner time and into your weekends, you may be in the process of raising a family or have just come out the other side. You are keen to claim back some happiness, you know it is there for the taking but just need some guidance.

Well, you have come to the right place. The Happiness Project is designed primarily for women – although we won’t stop men accessing the project! It is about positive people coming together to find happiness practices that work for them. It is not a place where we try and fix each others’ problems, complain or vent. It is a place of positive encouragement, support and learning, and making friends .

So what does The Happiness Project include?

The Happiness Project is designed without overwhelm, it is an easy to follow project with real practices to try. It is facilitated live over 5 weeks, with personal project practices in between. You will be able be able to access the course online closer to the end of the year too.

Happiness Project modules cover some of the following:

Week 1 is all about you. We recognize you may come with worries, that is normal, this is an opportunity to dump them. We will define happiness, do some Noticing and look at the Science of Happiness. And there is a bonus module to take home ๐Ÿ™‚

Week 2 is about stepping into happiness together. Before we delve in we will check out our brain and brainy chemicals, reflect on positives and negatives (thoughts, emotions, feelings), the things that may make us happy (or not) and go home with some happiness practices to try.

Week 3 is about self-care and more. What can we do to look after ourselves. What are we good at, what gives us joy. We will do some disconnecting and connecting, and try out some more happiness practices.

Week 4 is Mind and Spirit. What makes us calmer, more mindful, how can we reduce stress, can we control our emotions? We will try some mindfulness and meditation techniques.

Week 5 is about connecting and compassion, and creating habits. It is about optimism and not overthinking, it is about your life, the one you choose to enjoy and live with personal purpose. You will come out with a plan to continue moving forward beyond the project.
